RF Engineer

JET Connectivity is a highly dynamic place to work, where we need a wide variety of skills in the workforce. The successful candidate will possess many of the skills listed, may offer other capabilities to us, but is unlikely to possess all of them.

 

We require an RF engineer with embedded software, analogue and digital hardware experiences to run in-house RF hardware for remote 5G connectivity.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an RF design engineer role.
  • Proven experience in PCB design.
  • Previous use of schematic capture packages (KiCAD/Altium or similar).
  • Experience testing at circuit board and system level (e.g., board being-up and debug, EMC testing).
  • Proven knowledge in digital and analogue electronics.
  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages (C/C++/Python).
  • Experience of embedded software.
  • Proven experience on working on multiple, complex projects running simultaneously.
  • General understanding of engineering process and design lifecycles.
  • Anility to work with and make RF connectors and cables.
  • Experience in developing FPGA boards (desirable).
  • Experience in CANBus (desirable)

Person Specification

  • Pro-active individual with the ability and desire to work in an established yet growing start-up environment without the support of larger companies processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate to customer and internal stakeholders, via presentation and other documentation types, both remotely and in-person.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • A team builder, who will facilitate inter-team communication and possibly build their own.
 

Qualifications and eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably electronics/electronical/RF.
  • Applicant must have eligibility to work in the UK (Work permit sponsorship is not available for this role).
  • Applicants must be able to pass a UK Security Check.

More details

Salary Range: Depending on experience

Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week

Location & Travel: 

  • Primary business location is Farnborough, Hampshire.
  • Position is an on-site role.
  • Travel within the UK and internationally may be required.
