Modelling and Simulation Engineer

Role Description

This role will be responsible for simulating a number of key elements of our systems and software. This includes networks, RF performance for 5G, mesh algorithms, and physical performance parameters of floating hardware (buoys) in the sea. The outputs of these simulations will be used to support engineering development, bids, and guide design.

 

As well as being part of a dynamic engineering team, you will need to work independently at times as the sole simulation specialist. Due to the fast moving pace of our industry, this role would suit someone keen to learn new skills across the engineering function.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in MatLab
  • Network simulation
  • RF simulation
  • Mathematical modelling

 

Desired Experience

  • General programming experience
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis tools

Salary Range: £30-40k

Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week

Location: Hybrid based with an expectation that there will be 2-3 days on average in the Farnborough office.

Reporting: This role will report to the Principal Software Engineer
