Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Head of Engineering with a background in telecoms or software engineering looking for a role where you can own the engineering function, make the technology choices, and grow a team.

 

You will collaborate with the CTO on technical strategy and will be able to influence the technology choices, making recommendations and providing subject matter expertise to the wider engineering team as a key part of the technology management team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work deployment and technical resource of the engineering team
  • Managing engineering function of customer projects alongside the project manager
  • Day to day management of the engineering team, managing capacity, roles, and responsibilities of the team, along with highlighting new capability requirements
  • Work as part of the senior management team, assisting with strategic growth of the business

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • In depth knowledge of network architectures and software development
  • Team leadership and mentoring experience
  • Project delivery experience
  • Competent in Microsoft 365 including word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook

 

Desired Experience

    • Project and programme management experience
    • Maritime sector experience

Salary Range: £65-90k

Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week

Location: Hybrid based with an expectation that there will be 2 days on average in an office around Farnborough

Reporting: This role will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the Principal Engineers and Project Manages
